About the searchers

The Searchers Podcast is an Australian podcast built around one belief: the most important conversations are the ones we're not having.

Hosted by Atem Bior and Kirron Byrne, two basketball coaches and community mentors based in Brisbane, Queensland, the show explores identity, personal growth, faith, fatherhood, mental health, and what it means to live a meaningful life in a world that doesn't slow down.

Since 2022, we've sat down with athletes, community leaders, young parents, creatives, and everyday people navigating real challenges. Our audience is made up of students, athletes, and young men and women searching for direction, purpose, and honest conversation.

We're proud to represent the Brisbane community and the South Sudanese-Australian community — voices that deserve a platform.
